Our First Lady
ErnNesha C. Kerr is a Christian woman striving to be more like Christ daily. Her love for God took root at Lilydale First Baptist Church in Chicago, where she was baptized by Rev. Alvin Love.  She became a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in December 2010 when her husband, Rev. Marcel Kerr, began his sevice as pastor.

For more than 20 years of membership at Lilydale, Sis. Kerr served in various capacities: Sunday school administration , youth ministry, advisor, Women's Day assistant chair, pastor's annivesary planning, hospitality sevant and Christian education assistant, to name a few.  She was a longtime regular attendee at Bible class, a commitment she continues at Ebenezer, where she also teaches Sunday school lessons periodically.

After finishing her elementary and high school education in the Chicago Public School system, Sis. Kerr received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In 2000, she obtained her Master of Business Administration in Human Resourcs from DePaul University.

Sis. Kerr currently works for the Cook County Government in the Contract Compliance department. Prior to that, she worked as a Prevention Specialist for Developing Communities Project Inc., a South Side non-profit agency, after many years in the Banking and finance industry.

Most of Sis. Kerr's time and attention away from church and work focuses on her husband and two children, daughters Kinaya and Kiyani.  When she has time for herself, she enjoys reading and shopping.
